Firmly believe in the "Plan your Work and Work your Plan" idiom. Drew up a rough idea of what I'm hoping to create. The level line across bottom of bodywork is critical to the final look.
Pulled the wheels off to spoon on a set of vintage Avon's and experiment with some painting
Liking the look of that. Scuffed the outer rim and rattle canned the spokes a dark bronze.
Sawzall handled the fender struts (god, I love doing that!) and testing out a set of Kuryakyn signals mounted to upper shock bolts. Clean and simple. A set of Burly's new Stiletto shocks now holding up the rear.
Used the header the bike had on it and a stubby cone muffler to create this little guy. Telling myself heat wrap is to protect master, but it's really there to hide my crappy welds. Bike is going to need rear sets, too.
Kim from BCM sent me a killer little Air Cleaner and breather bolts. Perfect for this build.
