Pretty in Pink

Ahh the 80's...  I was all in. Car was eventually sold to a little girl named Brandy (not the girl in the pic) who pitted it against an oncoming Cadillac. It lost.

First project car. Finished.

Same car about a year after that last pic. Once piece fiberglass front end, dropped into the weeds, classic Empi's and a motor built by a teenager. For the most part it did pretty well.

I spent the Summer of Love in a 6 cylinder bus...

Probably should have posted this one first. Summer of love in Dad's VW bus. Mom made the curtains and he swapped in a Corvair to give it some go. 100% of my motorhead tendancies can be credited to this man. he never figured out how to make it right with this world, but he left a couple of offspring that have managed to carry on a legacy of building cool stuff.

First Street Bike

1982 Honda MB5. A one year only bike. Bought it blown up, did a big bore, chamber and airbox mods. It'd beat up on mopeds, but that was about all. Got me to high school until the Squareback was a runner. Eventually married the girl on the back. Bike started a lifelong obsession with two stroke street machines.

Dave's Garage - The Early Years.

The first official inhabitant of Dave's Garage. Bought at 17 YO, towed home by my buddies Dad and spent a solid 6 months slaving over it. This pic is a month or two into the build. Body was getting sorted and way too wide "mags" are at least off the front. Built the motor in my bedroom (was a super cold winter) and eventually did all the body, interior, suspension and electrical work.
