Never did make friends with this machine. Cantankerous Bing carbs pushed me over the edge and Craigs List made for a hasty, but painless termination of our relationship.

On to bigger and better things.

Yamaha GT80 returns to the mother ship

First restoration I've ever had come back. I built this for a friend 6 or so years ago. Just bought it back for my 10 year old son. Actually he brought it back. Sold his bike (he had outgrown it) and used the cash for this one. Guy I built it for had it mounted on a credenza in his office. It's never even been started. Odo says 37 miles. Suspect it'll be part of my life for the duration.

1976 Honda CB550 - Chocolaty goodness

2" longer piggybacks from none other than Progressive Suspension. Cut the upper mount off and moved it forward 2". Lower came off as well and ditched the clevis style mount. Result is a more pleasing angle for the shock and mounts that allow the use of modern hardware.

Chocolate chassis and cream body.

Frame is dark chocolate brown with a satin clear. Every piece of hardware has been replaced.

Chocolate legs. Rims are satin black with new stainless spokes.

Built my first seat pan.

Will eventually see dark brown leather and should blend the seat with the tank very nicely.

More Furniture

Wife requeted a bunch. Framed in 1.5" sq steel and inserts are marine grade ply. Loved the contrast of the raw wood but it matched nothing in the house.

Stain and satin clear on the wood made things gel nicely.

Had some leftover metal.

Not sure what this little guy wants to be yet...

Picture frams for my office. Hit welds with a torch to blue them up and glossy powder clear over the whole thing.
